How Can You Help?

Aloha Friends,
The people of Hawaii are known throughout the world for their genuine Aloha Spirit and generosity. It is with this understanding that the Friends for Sharnell Onaga (FFSO) humbly ask for your assistance to help the family raise much needed funds to defray the cost of medical expenses associated with finding a bone marrow donor and treating a newly diagnosed condition.
Sharnell Onaga is 38 years old. She and her husband, Clifton, have three precious children; the last delivered just last month. Sharnell has been diagnosed with leukemia and is in need of a bone marrow transplant as soon as a match is found.
The initial estimated medical expenses may exceed $100,000, and we are setting the initial fundraising goal at that amount. Our fundraising event on Saturday, November 18, 2006, at the Pipeline Cafe was a tremendous success; however, your help is still needed.
You can be a big help in our fundraising efforts by making a donation or helping out as a volunteer. If you would like to help, please click here to open our Response & Pledge form. Please print, complete and return via mail to us as soon as possible.
We are very pleased that the Soroptimist International of Honolulu, an IRS approved, tax-exempt non-profit organization that assists women and children, has agreed to process the donations. Accordingly, donations made payable to SI Honolulu - FFSO are tax-deductible, and 100% of the donations will go to defray Sharnell's medical expenses.
Any kokua would be sincerely appreciated. If you can help in any of the ways indicated, please contact us as soon as possible. If you have any questions regarding Sharnell's needs please email us.
